Beginning work for the second large Blickle construction project

Construction has started on the new administration building

The initiation for the construction work of the second building project at our headquarters in Rosenfeld took place on 29 September 2020. A small group attended this symbolic event, indicating the start of the work to expand the administration building with a new customer centre and staff canteen.

In the future, the new customer centre will house the reception area, additional training and meeting rooms and a state-of-the-art test centre with a test course for wheels and castors. The new office building is being built on the previous administration car park. The seven-story building creates space for a total of 200 new workplaces and the creation of a modern office environment. In the future, a caterer will prepare fresh meals directly on site in the staff canteen with a total of 250 seats both inside and outside.

For Blickle, the environmental climate control in its new buildings is very important. The need for heating and cooling is kept very low thanks to highly efficient technology and an intelligent building envelope. The heating is climate-neutral via the heat from process waste from our own polyurethane production. In addition, a photovoltaic system on the roof ensures sustainable energy generation.

Blickle is investing in the future with its new buildings at its headquarters in Rosenfeld and is thus focusing on further growth in the long term despite the Corona crisis. "By increasing production capacities in the polyurethane sector by more than one hundred percent, we want to expand our leading position in the global wheel and castor market," says David Blickle, member of the management. “We are not only investing in additional capacities in the production area. Due to the growth in recent years, our previous office space has also become very limiting. Several departments have already had to be outsourced to the surrounding buildings, which is of course not ideal for internal processes. So the need for additional office workplaces is clear. "
