HÖSL Hebetechnik relies on GSPO 500/100K from Blickle

HÖSL Hebetechnik, a specialist in customised solutions for lifting and conveyor technology, was faced with a demanding task.

A roller block with particularly high-performance casters was required for a customer in Switzerland who carries out maintenance work on power plant components, turbines and generators. The special feature: the design had to bear a continuous load of up to 53 tonnes – distributed over only four wheels. In addition, the entire load had to be able to rest on the wheels for long periods of up to one year without noticeable flattening or loss of function.

The choice fell on GSPO 500/100K from Blickle – a wheel with outstanding material properties. It is made of high-quality, reaction-injected compressed cast nylon, which is characterised by extreme breaking strength and a high hardness of 80 Shore D. This gives it an exceptionally high load capacity and very low rolling resistance, which also enables the heavy loads to be positioned and turned precisely on the roller blocks. The lower weight of compressed cast nylon compared to steel makes construction and handling much easier.

Thanks to the combination of robust material and well thought-out design, the wheels used fully meet the requirements of HÖSL Hebetechnik and the end customer. The heavy duty casters offer reliable stability even under continuous loads and help to make maintenance and storage processes safe and efficient.
