ErgoMove 1000 impresses on a special transport system

Powerful on the vitamin trolley

The client

WDW Waagen- und Dosiertechnik GmbH, based in Vechta, Lower Saxony, has been developing customised solutions for weighing and dosing technology, sampling and special machine construction since 1995. The components, machines and systems are primarily used in the bulk materials industry.

The challenge

It was a challenging task: WDW developed a special transport solution for the safe and fast weighing of ingredients for a customer in the nutrition industry. Weights of more than 500 kilograms had to be moved precisely on a rail system. The vitamin trolley is used in combination with a Pater Noster system.

Our solution

ErgoMove 1000To enable ergonomic transport, those responsible at WDW opted for the Blickle ErgoMove 1000 electric drive system for loads of up to 1,000 kilograms. ‘The casters that Blickle presented to us quickly came into play. Their ability to carry a high payload made them the ideal choice for this project,’ explains Hendrik Wolking, Managing Director of WDW Waagen- und Dosiertechnik GmbH. But it wasn't just the robustness that impressed. ‘The rollers with integrated motor and electromechanical parking brake can be controlled very precisely, which enables extremely precise travel paths and offers the customer unrivalled control over the WDW Dosing Jet,’ adds Wolking.

WDW sees a further advantage of the ErgoMove rollers in their seamless integration into the overall system control. ‘Our control engineers praised the smooth process in which the rollers could be easily and efficiently integrated into the existing control concept using the CANopen bus system,’ says Hendrik Wolking. ErgoMove has completely convinced WDW. ‘The decision in favour of Blickle rollers has paid off for us in many respects and set the standard for future projects. Their combination of power, precision and integration capability sets them apart from other roller technologies and makes them a real game changer for us as a machine manufacturer,’ summarises the Managing Director.
